Q Some of my favourite memories of you are from your cameos in the EJ Whitten Legends Match. Were those games as fun as they looked on TV? A It was great early when it was just a lot of old blokes running around having fun and putting on a show. But then they started getting players who had been retired for a season and that wrecked it a bit for me because they were way too fit and took it a bit too seriously. They asked me to come back but I can’t keep up with those blokes. Q It must have been fun to play with nephew Dale (pictured)? A He was a lot fitter than me, so I think he made me look bad. But he was a great player. Q Dale was famous for that melee in the Western Derby between Fremantle and West Coast. He was suspended for eight games. How many weeks would he have been rubbed out for in 2018? A Probably a whole season! No, I don’t condone violence but you have to admit it was great viewing at the time.
