Shot man dead in ute

A MAN who had been shot has been found in the back of a ute in northern NSW after a woman flagged down emergency services.

Homicide squad detectives say authorities were responding to a report of a crash outside a Dundurrabin home on Thursday afternoon when the woman flagged them down.

“The body of a man was located in the rear tray of the utility,” NSW Police said in a statement yesterday, adding that the 40-year-old victim had suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.
