Technology brands merge and expand

-

QUEENSLANDBASED THINK Office Technology, which has a branch in Cairns, has merged with EFEX, one of the fastest growing business technology companies in Australia.

EFEX chief executive Nick Sheehan said he was excited about the group’s expansion into Queensland through the acquisition of the specialist photocopier and printer retailer.

“The office technology sector is changing rapidly as a result of the digital disruption of the global economy,” he said.

“By joining with EFEX, we will now be able to offer our customers a broader range of services, with an increasing emphasis on voice and data technology, IT solutions, cloud data storage, and IT security”.

“We had been looking at the Queensland market as a growth opportunity and chose to partner with THINK — not just for their excellent record of customer service but their close community ties and family values.

“We want to assure all of our hundreds of customers in Queensland that it is business as usual, and our long commitment to community sponsorships of local sporting teams, charities and events will remain unchanged.”

Along with its new footprint in Queensland and established operations in NSW and Victoria, EFEX also have a new office in South Australia, making it a major player in the national business technology market.
