LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL

-

Q You are back living in the big smoke at Melbourne. What made you return to the city? A I’m co-hosting the Marngrook Footy Show and doing some work with youth employment in Melbourne. I’m surprised to be enjoying living there. Q The Marngrook show has been a resounding success. What do you think the key is behind it being so popular? A I think it’s a hit because people like to get to know the indigenous players and it’s a footy show where we actually talk about footy. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Marngrook. Q You were in Cairns earlier this month to work with the Footy Means Business program. How much satisfaction do you get with working with these young men? A It’s definitely the best thing that I get to do. Being on TV and having a laugh is fun, but helping these blokes improved their lives is much more meaningful. Hopefully they go on to be role models in their own communities.
