Pride in his work
SAM Watson is a 22-year-old plumber working with Cairns company Acacia Plumbing.
He has been in the plumbing game for five years and earns about $70,000 a year.
“The best thing about the work is finishing the job and being able to step back and look at what you have achieved,” Mr Watson said.
On the downside the heat while working in ceilings and digging holes in the hot sun could be tough in the summer, he said.
“The tropical heat sucks a bit in this job,” he said.
He said it was a good job and advised young workers to take pride in what they did.
