11.04am Bells to ring out in Cairns to mark Ar­mistice Cen­te­nary at St Mon­ica’s Cathe­dral and the Evan­ge­list Angli­can Church

11.30am Vic­tory tea and time cap­sule cer­e­mony on the lawns near the Cairns Ceno­taph 7pm — 10pm Dig­i­tal pro­jec­tions on to the Cairns RSL, Cairns Aquar­ium and Ri­ley Ho­tel GORDONVALE Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11 10.30am Com­mem­o­ra­tion of the sign­ing of the ar­mistice at Nor­man Park, Gordonvale IN­N­IS­FAIL Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11 9.45am Head to In­n­is­fail RSL for 10am march. 10.30am A poppy drop will be held near the RSL 10.58am Gun noises will ring out over In­n­is­fail 11am Pi­geons will be re­leased just be­fore a minute of si­lence, fol­lowed by wreath lay­ing DOU­GLAS SHIRE Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11 10am Re­mem­brance Day ser­vice at Moss­man Memo­rial ATHER­TON Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11 10.30am Ser­vice will be­gin at 10.40am. Cel­e­bra­tions will be held af­ter the ser­vice at the Car­ring­ton Ho­tel, Ather­ton. St Joseph Catholic Church will ring the church bells at 11am HERBERTON Sun­day, No­vem­ber 11 10.20am Ser­vice will be­gin at 10:30am with a reded­i­ca­tion of the re­stored Herberton Ceno­taph. Morn­ing tea will be held af­ter the ser­vice at the Herberton Min­ing Mu­seum. MALANDA 10.30am Re­mem­brance Day com­mem­o­ra­tions, with cel­e­bra­tions af­ter the ser­vice at the Malanda RSL & Cit­i­zens Memo­rial Club MA­REEBA 10.45am A pa­rade will leave the Ma­reeba RSL to the ceno­taph, where the cer­e­mony will take place. MILLAA MILLAA 10.20am Re­mem­brance Day com­mem­o­ra­tions, see the hand­made poppy wa­ter­fall with more than 1500 pop­pies made by ladies around Aus­tralia. Bar­be­cue lunch will be held af­ter the ser­vice at the Millaa Millaa Ho­tel. YUNGABURRA 10am Re­mem­brance Day com­mem­o­ra­tions fol­lowed by mil­i­tary ve­hi­cle dis­plays, food stalls, choirs and fam­ily en­ter­tain­ment
