Half mast for men’s cancer health mo-mentum

-

FORMER AFL great Travis Cloke is urging men to follow his lead by losing half their Movember mo to keep up the conversation about men’s health issues.

“The idea behind the ‘half- mast mo’ is similar to flying a flag at half-mast,” said the former Collingwood legend.

“It’s to honour loved ones we’ve lost to cancer and mental health that should still be with us.”

This Movember, Australia lost 469 men to prostate and testicular cancer and suicide.

“It’s really important to start these conversations if you’re not already having them,” he said. “I have a daughter now, so my health is much more of a priority.”

Almost 85,000 Mo Bros and Sistas registered for Movember nationwide, a rise on 2017, with about 630km of moustache hairs grown.
