TAKING PLACE ON NEW TEAM

Q You’re now commentating with a new team at Fox Cricket. Who have you most enjoyed getting to know within the group? A Well, I’ve only done the one game so far but there’s a really diverse mix of people. I like the whole team but I’ve always admired Mark Howard from the outside, looking in. Sitting in on a couple of shows with him, recently I thought he was really sharp and articulate with getting his point across. I’m really excited about the season as a whole, though. Throw in the Big Bash and there’s going to be lots of cricket for everyone. It’s a different feel to being a player. There aren’t the same level of nerves and anxiety that you get when you’re playing. To get to watch the best cricket in this country and be a part of it though is going to be fantastic. For me personally, I like to watch all the cricket going on around the world and stay engaged in all the different competitions. With Fox we’re in constant dialogue with the producers and the commentators about ideas we have and things we can talk about in the box. With the Adelaide Test, we’ll catch up a few days before and run through a few rehearsals and should be very well prepared once the season starts.
