Expenses

-

WITH the end of school holidays still three weeks away, Far North parents are getting in early to start kitting their kids out for the start of term.

At Harleys Educational Super Store at Manunda, customers are already coming in waves and bulk orders are being sent out to beat the rush.

Store manager Kristy Vallely said she’s noticed a trend over the last few years of customers coming in sooner and making orders online.

“We start getting ready in August, that’s when the first bulk supply orders start coming in,” she said.

“We live in an area where there’s so much talk of cyclones, flash-flooding, they want to get in early.

“There’s still a good mix between the online orders and people coming in just to get what they need.”

Term one in Queensland begins January 22.
