Show places predators in spotlight

-

JACK BORONOVSKIS ENGLAND’S answer to our own Croc Hunter will be in Cairns today.

Steve Backshall is bringing his Deadly 60 Live Down Under! show to the Far North for two shows at Cairns Convention Centre.

“It’s a kind of a science of deadly show, with an introduction to the planet’s finest predators,” Backshall said. “There will be stunts, audience participation, some of Australia’s ex- traordinary wildlife on stage and loads of craziness.”

Best known for his BBC children’s series, Deadly 60, in which he tracks down the world’s most dangerous creatures, the conservationist said that although he dealt with many deadly animals, he rarely felt they were dangerous.

“Wild animals very rarely hurt human beings,” he said. The show is on at the convention centre at 1pm and at 4pm today. Tickets are available from Ticketlink.
