More bollards for security

-

PERMANENT bollards and barriers will start being installed at Melbourne’s Flinders St station and Princes Bridge within days.

Nearly two years after the first, deadly attack on Bourke St which prompted the CBDwide security upgrades, more than 20 bollards, an 8m long reinforced barrier and completion of the 130sq m forecourt under the station clocks will be installed from next week, Police Minister Lisa Neville announced yesterday.

Works on 88 bollards in Princes Bridge in the city will start January 14.
