MAIN PRIORITIES LOOKING AHEAD

-

Q There are nine games to go in the 2018-19 season. As a coach with a two-year contract and a number of roster spots open next year, what are you looking to get out of the final part of the season? A I think we need to continue to define how we play, we have done a better job of that over the last month, working for good shots on offence, while still playing a freewheeling brand of basketball in transition. On defence, we need to continue to have a toughness, as well as rebounding the ball and finishing plays. Which we did not do the other night late against Melbourne but in general we have done it better lately. And, we need to win games. We are still going to Brisbane Bullets (right) this Satur- day looking to win the game, that is the mindset. At the same time, with an eye towards the future, working out how best to play our squad minutes-wise and start shaping for what can happen next season as well. There are constant conversations between us as coaches and administration about the players and the group for next year.
