IS your new feathered friend proving to be more of a challenge than you expected? Have you been a dedicated bird lover for years but looking to learn some new tricks. Boongarry Vet Surgery is holding a bird behaviour workshop, called Taming the Toddler Tantrums, designed to help you understand your bird better and handle them when they start getting uppity. This workshop, recommended especially for parrot owners and breeders, addresses some of the common behavioural issues experienced with parrots at home and in captivity and aims to provide tips for all situations. It will cover such topics as understanding natural behaviour, behavioural enrichment, basic handling and managing common issues. Whether you’re a new parrot parent, have one pet bird or 20, there will be something for you to take away from this workshop. Being held at Boongarry Vet Surgery, 1 Aeroglen Drive, January 31, 4.30-6pm.
