BUY BEST SHOES

-

FNQ Podiatry and Orthotics director Kyle Richardson’s tips for buying the best shoes: 1. The shoe should bend nicely through the forefoot (ball of foot) but you shouldn’t be able to bend it through the middle. 2. Firm heel counter, so that it moves when you press it with your thumb but should not collapse. 3. Light weight. The last thing growing feet/legs need is to carry around heavy shoes. 4. Durable outersole that provides nice grip around the schoolyard. 5. Ideally lace up, as opposed to Velcro.
