ART’S A FLUTTER WITH CAN­VAS LES­SON

VALEN­TINE’S Day is com­ing up, and there’s no bet­ter oc­ca­sion than to learn how to paint in a flower-themed course. Art group P ARTies is host­ing an adults be­gin­ners’ paint­ing work­shop at the Ma­reeba Art So­ci­ety. This work­shop is de­signed for adult be­gin­ners to come and have some fun learn­ing to paint on can­vas. Tech­niques used will be brush, pal­ette knife and fin­gers, so be pre­pared to get dirty. You will be paint­ing two can­vasses, (25cm square and 15cm square), al­low­ing lay­ers to dry on one while you work on the other. The work­shop is be­ing held Fe­bru­ary 10, 1-4pm at 345b Byrnes Street, Ma­reeba. Come 10 min­utes early to pay and set your­self up for a 1pm start. WHAT GEAR: Every­thing sup­plied, in­clud­ing can­vas, paint and all equip­ment needed. Clothes suit­able to get messy in HOW MUCH: $35 payable at be­gin­ning of work­shop.
