CBD street closures

THE intersection of Sheridan and Aplin Streets in the Cairns CBD will be closed on Sunday for roadworks. Asphalt overlay works will be undertaken from 6am to 6pm and the intersection will be temporarily closed. A Cairns Regional Council spokesman said motorists were asked to consider alternative routes to avoid the intersection on Sunday. He said U-turns could be performed at each of the approaches to Sheridan Street and Aplin Street and local access would be possible under traffic control.
