Alleged Cape attack

FAR North detectives arrested and charged a 39-year-old man on Wednesday following an alleged violent incident at Cape Tribulation on September 8. It is alleged the Diwan man threatened a group of tourists with a machete before taking a bottle of alcohol. It is then alleged the man struck a tourist in the face with the machete. He is scheduled to appear at Mossman Magistrates Court on November 3.
