Dental practice that makes a difference

Cairns Dental Boutique – Community Contribution Excellence award (sponsored by Maxima Group)

CAIRNS Dental Boutique, which started in October 2015 as a one-chair practice and has since grown into a multi-purpose dental facility, won the BEX Community Contribution Excellence award.

“We are very grateful to the Cairns Chamber of Commerce and to the BEX committee for the award,” said Vandana Samy, who co-founded the business with Dr Puneet Roy Jindal. “This recognition, apart from recognising our contributions to the Cairns community, has also empowered us to continue to make a positive impact in the community.”

The award, sponsored by Maxima, highlights the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in a business and CSR’s incorporation into their business strategy.

Cairns Dental Boutique has a number of community programs to improve dental health for all in the community and have supported sporting clubs and other organisations.

“Every year we aim to take up one social cause while maintaining our previous commitments to the community,” Ms Samy added. “We continued to do this even when the business was badly affected by Covid restrictions. We make our commitment towards the community because we genuinely care and believe that we make a small but significant positive impact on people’s lives.”
