HAVING a child who was an “absolute terrible sleeper for over two years” – meaning she suffered sleepless nights – actually turned out to be an eye opener for Vanessa Anderson from Sleep Right Sleep Tight.

Her business was awarded the BEX Customer Service Excellence/Delivery of Profession­al Services Award, sponsored by Pemset Solutions.

“My child was a terrible sleeper,” she said. “We suffered and he suffered for 2½ years before we sought profession­al help. The changes that brought to our family and having everyone sleep well, led me down the path of becoming a sleep consultant.”

While she conducts in-house consultati­ons in Cairns for parents of children aged up to five, most of her business is done online, where she offers a range of sleep programs and consultati­on packages.

“I was completely shocked to win the award,” Ms Anderson, who started the business five years ago, said. “It was unexpected especially being up against some other absolutely amazing businesses.”

These awards acknowledg­e a business that has shaped its success by delivering outstandin­g growth and developmen­t through a focus on excellent customer service.
