NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says “it’s not the government’s role to provide freedoms”.

Freedom and privacy are our unalienable rights, they cannot be taken from us. Our forebears fought and died in two savage wars so we could maintain our unfettered individual freedoms. To think we now have unelected bureaucrats, not violent wars, with the stroke of a pen depriving us of those freedoms is unimaginable.

Mandates are an assault on those freedoms. Sure we want as many folks as possible to have the jab, and that’s happening.

The Cairns Hinterland Hospital and Health Service are taking the correct approach, “exploring alternative options”, working with staff to find different ways to keep them and the workplace safe. Not demonising them. And anyway, who is most at risk from each other, vaxed or unvaxed?
