Prune mop-top hydrangea and mulch with compost. Add a little lime for pink flowers next year, or sulphur for blue.

Check out the leaves on heliconias for the devastating fall army worm which has been discovered on flower crops in the Cassowary Coast. 3

Heavily prune mango trees after fruiting. Then spray the leaves, branches and ground around the tree with copper to control anthracnose fungal infection.

Plant sweet corn seed in deep furrows and mound up around the plants when they are 20cm tall.
