WHY GO DOWN THIS PATH?

I AM curious as to why our council thinks it is necessary to have footpaths around every block in the suburbs.

The new paths are extremely wide and totally destroy the aesthetics of our nature strips.

They also reflect a lot of heat and store heat that is released in the night.

They must surely be contributing to global warming and rising temperatures.

It would be good if the council could publish the purpose of the footpaths.
