JUST WHO AM I?
JOANNE, of Mount Sheridan (CP, 11/02), is obviously a lovely person with great care and respect for her fellow beings – so long as they agree with her.
Her diatribe against Albanese supporters got me thinking, which category do I fall into?
I’m not a people smuggler, although years ago I did help some young women find jobs overseas (in Japan as English teachers).
There’s not a Chinese bone or blood cell in my body. I’ve had the DNA test and I’m mostly from the British Isles. I don’t like or sip Champagne and I’ve never held enough power over anyone to be classified as a dictator.
“Name-calling virtue signallers” could hardly be it — that seems to be the very definition of Joanne herself.
I do favour policies that support the environment but as there’s no rabies in Australia, I can hardly be rabid.
That leaves “non-thinker” but having thought all this through carefully, even that can’t be true.
I guess, Joanne, I must be one of a kind – or am I, Joanne?
Come the election we’ll see, won’t we? Keith Hill, Clifton Beach
