THE QUADDIE

RACE 4 QLD T’BRED OWNERS ASSOCIATION (1200M)

A great little 3yo race with some strong form lines, as mentioned above I really like the chances of Magnetic Drive ($2.10) going backto-back in this, he has the class to put some nice wins together now. I thought It’s A Ploy ($6) was desperately unlucky here last start, with the right run in transit they will know he is there at the business end. Tilly’s Secret ($13)’s run was too bad to be true here at Townsville last start, back to 3yo grade and from the inside gate she will certainly give them something to catch.

SELECTIONS – 2 Magnetic Drive, 3 It’s A Ploy, 5 Tilly’s Secret

RACE 5 CARLTON & UNITED BREWERIES (1300M)

With just an ounce of luck I think

Tempo ($4.60) wins today, he has been knocking on the door and he is sure to get the right run in transit here for Lacey Morrison and be extremely hard to beat.

My Zebrinka ($2.80) was very good in winning at Cairns last week, he hit the line hard and drew away for a very nice win, he must be considered again here.

Teeling ($4.60) may have needed the first up run at Rockhampton recently, comes north second up and the services of Justin Stanley a big bonus.

SELECTIONS – 1 Tempo, 2 My Zebrinka, 3 Teeling

RACE 6 HYGAIN HANDICAP (1300M)

Triptonic ($7) closed off nicely in a similar race at Rockhampton last start, from a good draw I expect him to settle a little closer in the run and he should appreciate the Townsville surface and looks a nice chance. Love On Sunday ($7.50) has been in great form since joining the Alex Maliff stable, a good strong win last start and he only needs to have improved a touch to win again despite the sticky draw. Tactical Illusion ($9) just went a little too hard in front at Bowen after being a bit hot pre-race, he may have to burn from the wide gate again but will give a sight if left alone in front. Have to include Sedgemoor ($101) in my Quaddie.

SELECTIONS – 4 Triptonic, 3 Love On Sunday, 1 Tactical Illusion, 5 Sedgemoor

RACE 7 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW PEEL (1400M)

A tough race to finish the day, Wicked Dancer ($7) was eye catching last start after no luck in the run, if there is speed on he might be a strong value hope here. Ashton Blair’s ($34) run was too bad to be true last start, he is much better than that and he can bounce back quickly here. Final Warning ($5) is nice and fit now fourth up and he is ready to show us something, has been a shade disappointing but much more encouraging signs last start. Arise My Son ($11) has been great his past few runs, he may end up closer in the run here and looks a strong chance.

SELECTIONS – 4 Wicked Dancer, 1 Ashton Blair, 6 Final Warning, 10 Arise My Son
