LAUREN’S FIGHTING FIT FOR MISS UNIVERSE CHALLENGE
A CAIRNS woman with a mission to help influence others has been announced as a Queensland State finalist in Miss Universe Australia.
Lauren Thomson from Redlynch said she wanted to empower women through fitness.
“I want to show them health and fitness is not just a physical thing, it’s more of a mental mindset that can help with health and wellbeing as well as how much of a difference it could make in your life,” Ms Thomson said.
She is a personal trainer and owns her own business Lozactive where she trains people at World Gym.
She said Miss Universe Australia would allow her to share her message.
“I entered because I thought I’d be able to reach so many more women around Australia and around the world,” she said.
The charity this year is ToyBox which helps sick children. Ms Thomson said she has a GoFundMe page and plans to do some group fitness classes to raise funds.
