FRESH FLAVOUR TO EVENT
THE biggest party in Port Douglas will welcome a stack of fresh activities this year including the Australian INXS Show and a new gin festival.
The new FNQ Gin Fest, presented by Hemingway’s Brewery at Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, will showcase local botanicals from six distilleries – Devils Thumb, Wolf Lane, Wild River Mountain, Distil On The Hill, Narrow Tracks and Mt Uncle. And the Tropic Rock concert will be turning back the clock to the 1980s and 90s with tribute kings the Australian INXS Show and “It’s My Life” – The Bon Jovi Story. A Carnivale spokesman said the family Beach Day events and Circus Wonderland would also all return. Carnivale starts on May 13 with the main weekend May 21-22.
