SNAPPING FOR SCIENCE

A NEW beach surveillance project is coming to five beaches across the Douglas Shire. CoastSnap, designed to help scientists better understand and forecast how coastlines will change, encourages residents and visitors to participate by taking snaps of locations and sharing the photo online. Mobile phone cradles have been set up at Four Mile, Cooya Beach, Newell Beach, Wonga Beach and Cow Bay.
