HOP TO IT TO SNAP UP EASTER CRAZE
CHOCOLATE pizzas are the most popular treat in town this Easter as demand for a Cairns chocolatier soars.
Coffee Works Cairns store manager Lauren Murphy said local residents along with visitors from across the country, and even a few international travellers had made a beeline for the chocolate pizzas topped with marshmallows.
“It comes in a mini pizza box … they’re customisable too,” Ms Murphy said.
“We get a lot of tourists and families that are purchasing them to take on their trips.”
The store sells a range of boutique chocolate, including Easter eggs and bunnies, rocky road, chocolate-covered fruit and coffee beans.
The sweet treats are made by chocolatiers at its Mareeba store.
“We use local fruit; we’ve got a dried mango covered with chocolate …” Ms Murphy said.
“We’re very much supported here by locals.”
Coffee Works will be open on Easter Saturday, so last-minute Easter bunnies can stock up their baskets for Easter Sunday.
