FIGHTING FOR CHANGE
CONGRATULATIONS to the Cairns Post for fighting for better outcomes in regards to youth crime in our city.
Highlighting the inconsistencies and deadly outcomes of dysfunctional and tone-deaf juvenile crime policy has been a lone fight for CJAG and its community-minded volunteers for many years and it’s a welcome sign that other interests are now behind the push to make serious changes to the lives of both the perpetrators and more importantly, the victims, of this wave of civil disobedience.
CJAG has been almost the lone voice in the fight to make parental responsibility enshrined in legislation, and at last reporters and other interests are finally getting on board.
Well done, but hopefully the renewed interest doesn’t fade away after the election.
