Tigers chase Cup supremacy

EDGE Hill United’s quest to complete a deep run in the Kappa Women’s Super Cup will face its most difficult challenge in Townsville.

The Tigers have been among the strongest women’s teams in the Far North over the past few years, claiming plenty of silverware to prove their dominance.

They were barely troubled on their way to the treble last year, and while there has been a bit of turnover with the roster, the club has managed to retain plenty of strength.

A 6-2 win against Leichhardt last week sealed Edge Hill United’s place in the regional playoff, where they will face MA Olympic.

The winner of Saturday’s game will face the winner from Mackay-Central Queensland. Kick-off is at 6pm.
