Pride’s out to end streak

-

NORTHERN Pride are out to correct history and put an end to one of the most unwanted stats in club history when they host Townsville Blackhawks at Barlow Park.

The Blackhawks have played five games at Barlow Park and are yet to lose in Cairns. The closest the Pride have come to beating the Blackhawks on home soil is last year’s 30-26 loss.

The Hostplus Cup rivalry round clash will headline a massive triple header at the venue, which will kick off at 2pm when the North Queensland Gold Stars host Wynnum-Manly in the BMD Premierhsip.

Four Cairns products – Tahlulah Tillett, Steph Mooka, Sareka Mooka and Aerielle Hobbler – have been named for the Gold Stars, with Essay Banu to start for the Seagulls.

The under-21s kick off at 3.30pm, with the main game at 5.30pm.
