Testing time for teachers

ALMOST 50 per cent of Australian parents believe their child’s teacher was stressed about NAPLAN testing, new data reveals.

The study from online tutoring company Cluey Learning also found 38 per cent believed standardis­ed testing was an unfair pressure on teachers.

About 42 per cent of parents believed there were better ways to measure kids than exams. The data also suggested 70 per cent of parents would increase home study, offer tutoring or speak to teachers directly if their kids’ NAPLAN results were poor.
