TASTING A DEVIL OF A GIN IN PORT

- MARK MURRAY

A WORLD-RENOWNED gin distillery has flung open its doors for tastings just south of Port Douglas, and business is booming.

Devils Thumb distiller and co-founder Mark Norman has opened a tasting room seven days a week in Craiglie.

It comes hot on the heels of his signature Navy Strength Gin being awarded the world’s best at the World Gin Awards this year.

Mr Norman said the timing of the opening had coincided perfectly with the buzz surrounding the global gong and the return of tourists to the Far North.

“We’ve been flat out,” he said. Bookings, between 10am-4pm, can be made at www.devilsthumbdistillery. com.
