MEDDLING NOT OUR PLACE

WHILST I in no way support the arrangement between the Solomons and China, they are, after all, sovereign independent countries and therefore we are in no position to dictate foreign policy, or any other, as the federal opposition leader thinks Australia is able to do.

It’s not just fruit and veg getting dearer, it’s fuel, it’s groceries, it’s hardware, it’s everywhere. This inflation is an artefact of government interference in our lives over Covid. All they needed to do was say “Hey, there’s a bad flu around. Stay home if you get sick.” But they didn’t. They borrowed a trillion dollars in our names and blew it on nothing at all. Personally I will never vote ALP or LNP so long as I should live.

The visitor comments published during the week are quite interesting to read. While I agree with most of them I suspect they haven’t travelled far from their hotels or the Esplanade. If they had, the “cleanliness” tag would not be brandished about quite so much.

Australia has always helped the Solomon Islands every time they needed it. We could never compete with the Chinese offer especially after their virus has all but sent us broke. But we might as well blame ScoMo as he seems to be responsible for everything these days.

Digger (CP, 21/04), if you want to call someone out that signs off with their real name at least have the courage to put your real name to it.

Beth Lavington (CP, 22/04), the delegation at Entsch’s office worried about higher tides in the Torres Strait washing away their land was from Warraber Island not Boigu Island. Kerry, Caravonica

With Albo coming down with Covid, shouldn’t all his close contacts, including ScoMo, be in isolation for seven days? You know, like we commoners had to?

The State Minister for Youth Justice lives in a different world. Stated on the news, how successful the juvenile justice program is. It might be in leafy Brisbane, but nowhere else.
