Aussie-themed trivia fundraiser

THE Freshwater Queensland Country Women’s Association will put on a delicious spread to raise some money and have some fun.

An Australian-theme trivia will be put on at the QCWA Freshwater Branch Hall on Saturday, May 14, from 7pm.

QCWA Far Northern president Meg Trimble said there would be finger food including meatballs, sausage rolls, cakes and slices.

“It is for general fundraising to support the QCWA. We support people in need, of course there’s been so many people in need right now,” Ms Trimble said.

Before Covid they would put two to three trivia nights together a year.

“We have teams of six. People can bring their own team or come along and we will team them up with someone,” she said.

“We have prizes for each game and some novelty ones.”
