Love someone to tell me, with the ocean being shark territory, creeks and rivers and their banks being croc territory, and everywhere else being something’s territory, where do humans have territory. You know, where if a croc or something shows up it’s OK for us to eat it? Or are we the only animal on earth that belongs nowhere?

Decade on decade of experts being in charge of juvenile justice and what do we have? Worse than ever. People allegedly stabbed to death in their own homes. So glad our magistrates and welfare agencies are keeping us safe, what with being so expert and all.

Bob, Atherton

Sure the Kuranda Range is safe, no problem, all good. Let’s park a truck in the middle of Brisbane, blocking traffic every time the range blocks us. Fair’s fair, hey Madam Premier?

Andy, Kuranda

Young kids running amok at the shops, in parks and on the streets of Cairns is absolutely out of control. Children being bashed for no reason and having their personal possessions – phones and shoes – stolen. As a parent, I’ve never believed in wrapping my kids up in cotton wool but I’m about to change my mind. The thought of letting them walk to the shops or to the park on their own is becoming increasingly scary. It’s not good enough.

I believe the PM believed Australians would walk meekly to agreeing to his ‘The Voice’ changes to the Constitution. Now we wake and find we are being guided to constitutional gridlock with an unnecessary add on relating to the Executive. If the PM wants to depoliticise the proposed amendment, he’s still got time for compromise. Rick, Redlynch

Peter (CP, 06/04), we’re spending $368bn on Morrison and Dutton’s AUKUS submarines to defend ourselves against a threat from China, surely you don’t want Xi Jinping spying on us.

Archie, Atherton

The cost of Medicare is expected to blow out more than the AUKUS submarine program, does anyone really think that an

Aussie made boat is going to hit the water by 2050. Give me a break.

Dominic, Freshwater

The phone companies want your money but will not help pensioners set up a prepaid mobile plan, you must do it online. A lot of pensioners, and older people, can’t use a computer or don’t have one. It is time they made things easier for the elderly
