RACE 6 THE STAR BM 75 HCP (1600M)

Baltic Coast ($5.50) has been good at his last two starts coming from last to finish on the heels of the placegetters. From a slightly better draw his best chance is if he can position a bit closer to the leaders. Yasuke ($4) is lightly raced and up in grade but drops 4kg in weight on his last-start Warwick Farm placing. Moktaffy ($10) rarely wins but can bob up with Jimmy Orman booked to ride while Pentito ($14) finally cracked it for a win when getting all the favours at Doomben and can figure again.

SELECTIONS: 9 Baltic Coast, 18 Yasuke, 14 Moktaffy, 4 Pentito

RACE 7 CASCADE BM 85 HCP (1400M)

Antino ($1.85) continues to impress as he strives to qualify for a start in the Stradbroke and he should be even better here over the 1400m. The Drover ($15) has been in top form and barrier 1 is a huge advantage. He endured a wide trip last time and still ran well, while Palladas ($13) always comes under notice when he draws a good barrier and the 1.5kg allowance for leading apprentice Angela Jones is a plus. Substantial ($8.50) looks to get a lovely run and is ready to peak third-up from a spell provided he relaxes.

SELECTIONS: 6 Antino, 15 The Drover, 3 Palladas, 8 Substantial

RACE 8 CHANNEL 7 VICTORY STAKES (1200M)

Private Eye ($2.30) has been freshened up since striking severe interference in the TJ Smith at Randwick. He loves Eagle Farm and a repeat of the Everest run over this distance will see him the one to beat.

Prince Of Boom ($7) returned in brilliant fashion leading all the way in the Ascot handicap (1000m). Looks the leader and could be hard to catch.

Rothfire ($6) was excellent first-up when second to Prince Of Boom and he’s much better placed here at WFA.

King Of Sparta ($7) hasn’t started for five weeks and runs well fresh.

SELECTIONS: 1 Private Eye, 8 Prince Of Boom, 4 Rothfire, 6 King Of Sparta

RACE 9 SKY RACING QUEENSLAND GUINEAS (1600M)

Kovalica ($2.25) produced a huge performance coming from last when third in the South Pacific at Randwick. The increase in distance suits, but due to his get-back racing pattern will need some luck in the big field.

Waitak ($15) will also appreciate the extra distance after a close-up fifth in the Daybreak Lover at his first Australian start. The Fortune Teller ($5) has been freshened since his tough victory at Randwick four weeks ago on a heavy track. Brosnan ($14) on his Sydney autumn form, and The Vowels ($6.50) although drawn wide, can also figure.

SELECTIONS: 3 Kovalica, 7 Waitak, 2 The Fortune Teller, 4 Brosnan
