ON TAXPAYERS BEING HIT WITH $187K HOTEL BILL FOR REGIONAL PARLIAMENT

Well they have to stay somewhere, and the Cairns Hilton’s good but ritzy is a bit over the top.

Wazza Wazza

Curtis Pitt missed some of it.

Ray Ray

Yet I’m homeless. Thanks Premier.

ON THE WEATHER RADAR BEING OFFLINE FOR EIGHT WEEKS FOR REPAIRS.

Better now than during cyclone season I guess.

Julie Esson

Torres Strait is busier than Cairns and we don’t have a radar there.

Steve Spinaze

Seems like it’s never bloody online.

DO CROCODILE WARNING SIGNS NEED A REVAMP?

If you don’t know what these signs are or they don’t get your attention then there isn’t really much else anyone can do for you. They don’t need a redesign.

Daniel Charles

No amount of signage will correct a hostile planet. Bureaucracy kills more people than crocs ever will. Maybe the achtung label should be placed on the steps of parliament.

ON A GIRL ALLEGEDLY RAMMING A POLICE CAR WITH A STOLEN 4WD.

I can’t believe this. Just moved here six weeks ago from NSW and am astounded by all these car thefts and break-ins in a relatively small city on a daily basis. It’s insane and sad for this beautiful place.

Marianne Mortimer

Shame hadn’t rammed a politicians car – something might be done.

Helen Mpofu

Adult crime … adult time.

DO YOU SHOWER AT NIGHT OR IN THE MORNING?

We are in FNQ, shower at night, if too early shower again before bed, again in the morning and throughout the day as needed.

Sue Tidey

It is basic hygiene to shower before going to bed, after a day’s/ night’s work.

Robyn F Marlow

I have always showered at night before bed, and, in the tropics, I sometimes shower again in the morning as well if it’s been a sweaty night. Sheets and pyjamas stay clean longer and I feel better going to bed clean, especially in the Tropics.

Rhonnie Wenden-King

After a few hours in the armchair in my robe and slippers sipping a glass of port accompanied by some stilton,

I like to shower and then retire. Roger O’Fotheringham

ON THE IMPENDING CLOSURE OF BROTHER JENKINS
