ON PLANS FOR A SURF PARK AT PORT DOUGLAS FALLING FLAT.

I’m not in the least bit surprised. I don’t believe anything up here until it’s actually built and I see it with my own eyes.

Carolyn N Andrew Denison

I am not stoked about this at all. Definitely not gnarly.

Jeff Winger

ON THE PREMIER’S CABINET RESHUFFLE AND FNQ’S STATE LABOR MEMBERS.

You can’t give them youth justice or health as none believe there are those problems in Cairns.

Paul Drabble

Even their own party can see they (Far North Queensland’s Labor MPs) wont be there after 2024.

Mitchell N Donna

If the LNP get anyone elected in FNQ, will they have ministerial portfolios? The centre of power is in Brisbane, no matter which party is in government. It’s been like that in Queensland’s entire history.

Michael Cooper

ON A FRESHWATER CROC BEING FOUND IN A POND AT THE CAIRNS GOLF CLUB.

Don’t dive for a ball today.

Jenna Anne Smith

Giving me Happy Gilmore vibes.

Sarah Hardie

Be careful when you go bush at the golf course.

Mel Allen

ON QANTAS GIVING PASSENGERS THE CHANCE TO BLOCK OUT THE SEAT NEXT TO THEM AT A DISCOUNTED RATE.

I think they need to stop the flight delays and cancellations first. Sort themselves out first.

Keonie Stretton

Yes please, the disappointment when someone takes that middle seat is real.

Kerry Clifford

Fat chance on any Cairns to Brisbane flight. They are always overloaded. Mick Gough

ON LUXURY RETAILERS DFS GALLERIA AND LOUIS VUITTON PULLING OUT OF CAIRNS.

The obvious result of the enormous growth in online shopping … a lot more vacancies to come.

Ian Banner

How is this a shock? The CBD is a disgrace.

Daniel Underwood

Can’t sustain the shoplifting.

Ian Salmon

What happened to the big plans for redeveloping the corner of Abbott and Spence streets on the other two corners across from the Galleria to make it a destination shopping location again. Guess it will just become another empty space up for lease in the CBD, left to deteriorate and covered in graffiti. It’s such a shame.

Linda Wilson

ON GEORGE BURGESS SIGNING FOR BROTHERS IN THE FNQRL.

The Cowboys are actually a couple of props short. Sign him up.

Scott Schaefer

It will be a massive signing for the Cairns competition. Turned up at a good time after the February- March humidity.
