Veteran golfers to play at Kaniva

A Wimmera District Veteran Golfers Association stableford event at Warracknabeal attracted 60 players who competed in fine and sunny conditions.

Rodger Hendy from Kaniva scored the round of the day, his 44 points securing a C Grade win.

An A Grade trophy went to Max Chamings from Chalambar, 39, who won clearly from Graeme Healy, Stawell, 34.

Merv Fox, also from Chalambar, won a B Grade event with 38 points from Ian Yole, Grange, with 36 points.

C Grade was a close contest, with Hendy winning from Max Rogers from Horsham on 42.

Veteran golfers will play in a Kaniva seniors event on March 27 before playing at Nhill on April 10. Nearest the pins: Seventh, Ian Moorhead; 13th Derek Picken.
