Organisers of Horsham’s annual Labour Day weekend car and bike show are still waiting to confirm a total figure raised for sick children after another successful event.

Committee member Chris Creasy said the event at May Park on Sunday had continued to grow and generate a considerable following from car and motorcycle enthusiasts across Victoria and beyond.

“We had 216 car and bike entries this year which was up by eight on last year. It is continuing to gain momentum,” he said.

“The great thing about the show is the variety of vehicles people present for the event. We had everything from relatively unrestored vintage vehicles to modern highly modified street machines.

“It’s going from strength to strength and the committee is delighted that so many people are willing to get behind it – not as just a car show, but also as a major fundraiser.

“We feel the message is getting through that we’re simply just car enthusiasts who want to put on a show to raise money for sick kids.”
