Long lunch

-

Gourmet food producer Mount Zero Olives will participate in the Regional World’s Longest Lunch by hosting an event in its Grampians olive grove.

Guests will dine al fresco, along a long table surrounded by Mount Zero’s bountiful biodynamic olive grove, over-looking the northern Grampians.

The Regional World’s Longest Lunch on March 31 from noon to 4pm, is a program event of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

It features ex-movida head chef James Campbell and Dimboola-based chef and provedore Mary Clarke.

Mount Zero lentils, olives and olive oil will complement regional lamb, native and foraged elements and greater western Victorian produce from Shaw River Buffalo.

Mt Zero Olives will revive its Millstone Café for six weeks at the end of the month.

After a two-year hiatus, the café will open for lunches, light snacks and farmgate sales. The café will be open from March 31 to May 7.

It will also provide a milkbar service to campers staying in the Under Sky tents lining the grove.

Mt Zero has joined forces with Under Sky to offer pop-up ‘glamping’.
