Young Hornets head to Bendigo
Horsham Amateur Basketball Association’s under-12 girls and boys will have their turn in the spotlight at the weekend when they head to Bendigo for state championships.
Association junior representative director Tony Sleep said the Hornets youngsters had been working hard in the lead-up to the Basketball Victoria Country event.
“As an association it’s always exciting to see our younger teams heading off to the championships for the first time,” he said.
“We hope that they and their families have a great weekend of competition.”
The Hornets boys will compete against teams from Kyneton, Yarra-mul, Wallan, Corio Bay, Lakes Entrance and Leongatha.
The Hornets girls are in a pool with teams from Bendigo, Warrnambool and Korumburra.
