Surplus auction for fundraiser
East Grampians Health Service’s Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay teams will wrap up their fundraising with a surplus auction.
The auction will be in the gardens behind Pyrenees House in Ararat on April 8, with registrations from 8am. Guest auctioneer will be Phil Clark from First National Real Estate Ararat.
Organisers have predicted bidding to be fierce for the health service’s surplus equipment, which will include items such as beds, office furniture, chairs, shelving, mobility aids, patient-lifting machines, doors, filing cabinets and more.
People keen to help with the fundraising are welcome to donate goods to be auctioned on the day. They can contact Stuart Kerr on 5352 9355 to arrange delivery.
EGHS community liaison officer Jodie Holwell said the Murray to Moyne teams, the Cranks and Defibrillators, were raising money for a new bus for the health group’s Patricia Hinchey Centre.
“The bus is used to transport frail, aged and disabled clients for activities and outings throughout the region,” she said.
“The auction will be the final fundraiser for the Murray to Moyne teams so we hope as many people as possible turn out to support the teams’ efforts.”
