Houseboat prize for run

A Murray River houseboat holiday at Echuca awaits lucky family and friends who participate in the 35th Lindsay Kent Memorial Fun Run at Stawell racecourse on Easter Sunday.

The prize is valued at $900 and can be won by anyone who runs the five kilometres, or the threekilometre walk or run.

Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club is organising the event and spokesman Keith Lofthouse said the prize was the biggest offered in the 35 years of the fun run.

The club expects more than 250 runners to take part in the event.

On-the-day registration starts from 8.30am and the fun run starts at 9am. Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for under-15s and there is a special rate for families.
