Students shine at Mount Gambier
Horsham Holy Trinity Lutheran School teams impressed in the season opener of the 2017 Australian HPV Super Series.
The HPV – Human Powered Vehicle – Super Series is an annual championship that attracts teams from across the country.
Twenty-six Holy Trinity students travelled to Mount Gambier to compete in the eight-hour endurance race.
Principal Chris Surridge said the 2.4-kilometre, hilly track at Mac Park Motorcycle Racing circuit was challenging.
“The students had a fantastic day full of physical and tactical challenges and fun,” he said.
“They worked together as a team and supported one another extremely well.
“Being the first race of the 2017 season we were very pleased with the performance of the students and the vehicles.
“We are looking forward to events at Loxton, Bendigo and Maryborough as well as special days at Dimboola Recreation Reserve.”
