Broad opens school expansion
Member for Mallee Andrew Broad has officially opened Horsham Holy Trinity Lutheran School’s new middle school and specialist school.
Mr Broad said he welcomed what was a valuable investment in regional education.
“These new buildings are a great addition to educational facilities that are available to families living in the Horsham region,” he said.
“As a government, it is our responsibility to ensure that children around the country have access to quality educational opportunities and every dollar invested on improving schools in regional Australia is money well spent.”
Construction of new facilities at the school was supported by $1.4-million in funding through the Coalition government’s Capital Grants Program.
The new facilities include general learning, specialist teach, seminar, group learning, covered outdoors learning and outdoor play areas, staff workplace and storage. “While I am the first to agree that great buildings alone do not make a great school, I will always argue that our students deserve the best learning environments possible,” Mr Broad said.
“Holy Trinity is an example of a school that is fostering the educational outcomes and aspirations of its students by giving them both quality teaching and quality resources.”
