Ni­cole has qual­i­fi­ca­tions in myother­apy, re­me­dial mas­sage, in­te­grated cup­ping ther­apy and a back­ground in beauty ther­apy. She is com­plet­ing a Di­ploma of Clin­i­cal Pi­lates, which she will fin­ish in Oc­to­ber. Ni­cole com­pleted a sig­nif­i­cant amount of her study and gained work ex­pe­ri­ence in Mel­bourne but is orig­i­nally from Minyip and loves be­ing back in the coun­try. Myother­apy is the ev­i­dence-based as­sess­ment, treat­ment and re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion of mus­cu­loskele­tal, neu­ro­mus­cu­lar and my­ofas­cial pain and as­so­ci­ated con­di­tions. Myother­a­pists use mas­sage in their treat­ments but also use a wide range of other treat­ment ap­proaches such as dry needling, thermo and elec­tro-ther­a­peu­tic tech­niques, cor­rec­tive ex­er­cise pre­scrip­tion, ed­u­ca­tion about pain man­age­ment, ac­tiv­ity mod­i­fi­ca­tion and life­style mod­i­fi­ca­tion.

Myother­apy can treat a wide range of con­di­tions in­clud­ing neck and shoul­der pain; sports in­juries; headaches and mi­graines; TMJ dys­func­tion; ten­nis el­bow; sci­at­ica and hip pain; frozen shoul­der; carpal tun­nel syn­drome; chronic back pain; re­stricted move­ment and in­flex­i­bil­ity; foot and an­kle pain; and pos­tural con­di­tions.

Welcome Mikaela!

Mikaela is an ac­cred­ited ex­er­cise phys­i­ol­o­gist and sports sci­en­tist. Through­out her de­gree, Mikaela gained ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in or­thopaedic surgery and car­diopul­monary re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion. Mikaela also worked with clients suf­fer­ing chronic pain, cancer and di­a­betes. She strongly be­lieves in de­sign­ing ex­er­cise pro­grams that are tai­lored to the client’s goals and in­ter­ests. She en­joys us­ing dif­fer­ent modes of ex­er­cise, such as hy­drother­apy. Mikaela is al­ways in­ter­ested in fur­ther­ing her knowl­edge and has re­cently gained her Mat­work Pi­lates in­struc­tion qual­i­fi­ca­tion.

She is also study­ing ante/ post natal pi­lates.

Mikaela dreams of com­plet­ing fur­ther re­search through a masters de­gree in the area of car­diopul­monary ex­er­cise re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion.

Orig­i­nally from a farm in the War­rackn­abeal area, Mikaela is ex­tremely happy to be liv­ing and work­ing lo­cally.

She is pas­sion­ate about im­prov­ing the health and well­be­ing of her clients and looks for­ward to work­ing with the com­mu­nity.
