The Grampians will burst to life for week-long fes­tiv­i­ties on Fri­day as the re­gion cel­e­brates all things wine, food and en­ter­tain­ment.

Grampians Wine Re­gion, fea­tur­ing some of the best winer­ies in Aus­tralia, will present its an­nual event­packed Se­ri­ously Shi­raz fes­ti­val un­til Novem­ber 7.

It is invit­ing guests to taste their way across the Grampians at more than 20 events at a va­ri­ety of venues as part of a celebratio­n of award-win­ning wine, in par­tic­u­lar shi­raz for which the re­gion has con­sid­er­able in­ter­na­tional rep­u­ta­tion.

Grampians Tourism chief ex­ec­u­tive Marc Slee­man said the five-day fes­ti­val cel­e­brated five-star James Hal­l­i­day-rated wines with names such as Best’s Great Western, Mon­tara Wines, Grampians Es­tate, Mount Langi Ghi­ran, Sep­pelt Great Western and Halls Gap Es­tate all in­volved, as along with favourites Moun­tain­side Wines, Baranga­roo Bou­tique Wines, Sub Rosa, The Story Wines, One Tonne Wine Co and Steel Cut­ters Cot­tage.

Aus­tralian mu­sic in­dus­try icons Wendy Stapleton, Paul Nor­ton and Michael Cris­tiano will per­form at Mon­tara Wines on Fri­day as part of a huge week­end of ac­tiv­i­ties.
