Sandwiches for Foodbank
Subway shops in more than 60 countries, including Wimmera outlets, will raise money with a Subway Live Feed project to help fight hunger around the world.
All customers who visit Subway shops in Horsham, Ararat, Stawell and other centres can buy a sandwich, salad or wrap and get another one free of charge.
In response, Subway will also give a meal to someone in need through Foodbank Australia.
Every meal donated on World Sandwich Day will become part of a global Subway movement and will be tracked through the Subway ‘Live Feed’ digital tracker, via subwaylivefeed.com.au.
Subway is expecting to donate hundreds of thousands of meals across Australia, and millions globally. Subway Horsham BP and Horsham Plaza franchisee Andrew Wilson said his teams were thrilled to be supporting Foodbank to continue its service of providing hunger relief to Australians in need.
“We are encouraging the local community to help make a difference to a fellow Australian in need,” he said.
